What is your main objective as an organisation?

What is the history of Brand South Australia?
Brand South Australia has existed under its current name since 2013, when South Australia launched the State Brand. Prior to that, the organisation was known as Advantage SA. The original positive voice for the state can be traced back to SA Great in 1984, of which Brand South Australia is an evolution.
Is Brand South Australia government department?
No, Brand South Australia is an independent not-for-profit enterprise with a membership and sponsorship base.
Is Brand South Australia government funded?
We receive partial funding from the Government of South Australia for certain campaigns and initiatives. We are self-funded through our membership and sponsorship model.
Is Brand South Australia a bipartisan organisation?
Yes, Brand South Australia exists for the state of South Australia, so we work with, and have the support of, the current government of the day.

You can begin a relationship with Brand South Australia by joining as a member, by registering for the State Brand, or by listing your business on the I Choose SA business directory. What is the difference between I Choose SA registration, State Brand registration, and Membership?
I Choose SA is a campaign run by Brand South Australia. It exists to encourage South Australians to choose local products and services, to help create jobs in our state. This initiative is available to South Australian owned and operated businesses, retailers that stock SA products and SA supporters. SA supporters are businesses that may not be South Australian, but have a footprint here, investing in our people and future. The State Brand is South Australia’s logo, and it has been designed to unite our identity as a state. Once businesses are approved to use the State Brand, they can download the asset pack, and incorporate it into their marketing efforts. Why am I receiving email communications from Brand South Australia?
I signed up for I Choose SA and/or the State Brand, why am I not listed on the member business directory?
Membership involves an annual fee and has a unique range of benefits aside from a listing in the member directory. These include the opportunity to connect face-to-face with other businesses in the state, as well as the opportunity to share your news through our channels. For more information click here.
What is the difference between Brand South Australia and the South Australian Tourism Commission?
The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) is a South Australian Government Department that exists to position South Australia as a destination of choice for international and domestic visitors. Events SA is a department within SATC that manages major tourism events in the state, with the aim to increase visitation to South Australia.
Brand South Australia is not a government department and focuses on all industries, including tourism, when positively positioning the state.
What is the difference between Brand South Australia and Business SA?
Business SA is South Australia’s peak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and peak employer body. It focuses on employers getting fair outcomes on industrial relations matters, often lobbying on behalf of business.
Brand South Australia focuses on positively positioning the state of South Australia and all of its stakeholders.
What is the difference between Brand South Australia and the Adelaide Convention Bureau?
The Adelaide Convention Bureau is the independent body for business events in South Australia. Their goal is to position South Australia as a leading business events and conferences destination, and they attract these types of events through bidding on behalf of the state.
Brand South Australia has an events department, which delivers internal member events. Brand South Australia will occasionally partner with external organisations to deliver various programs.
