In 2018, Entrepreneurs Week will continue to showcase the growing success and innovation of entrepreneurs in South Australia and the opportunities available.

Brand South Australia, in partnership with the City of Adelaide and the Government of South Australia invite you to help kick start Entrepreneurs Week for 2018, celebrating South Australia as the place where entrepreneurs thrive.

The day will be officially opened by Deputy Lord Mayor, Sandy Verschoor, after which guests will be treated to two keynote presentations, and an afternoon of entrepreneurial focused sessions.

Chris Adams, presented by Green Industries South Australia
Entrepreneurs Journey: debunking disruption, demystifying innovation, decluttering jargon and sharing insights.

Chris Adams’ career has included working with and for some of the best-known companies in the world, such as, Participant Media, Comcast Cable and Interactive,, and Most recently, he has held Board Director roles for ASX-listed companies, advising many start-ups, and helping corporates such as National Storage, Sensis/Found Digital, Seven West Media, Greater Outcomes and Arrive Wealth Management. Chris’ vast experience in the trenches, over the course of the tech ecosystem’s evolution enable him to have wide and deep perspective and some great stories to share.

The Rise of the Co-op: Unlocking the latent entrepreneurship in workers and industry. How could your business benefit?

Guy has been embedded in the co-operative and social enterprise sector since 1988 and is the former full-time managing director of Care & Share Associates Limited (CASA), an employee owned social enterprise he helped to found in 2004. He previously worked across the UK as a social economy consultant, specialising in business planning, social franchising and replication, programme leadership, training, research and strategic planning. His recent achievements include driving the growth of Care & Share Associates Ltd from a start-up pioneering social franchise to a £17m t/o employee owned social enterprise and creating ‘RED’ (Rapid Enterprise Development Workshops), an innovative training approach to social enterprise development with people with a disability. In 2016 his work in the care sector was recognised by The Great British Care Awards where he became national winner in the ‘Outstanding Contribution To Social Care’ category. He was also the winning UK national finalist in EY’s prestigious global competition, ‘Entrepreneur Of The Year’.

Afternoon Sessions

Following the two keynote presentations, guests are invited to explore the various sessions being hosted during the afternoon. Guests are invited to explore and move around to the three rooms, to attend those that speak to you. Sessions are run concurrently on a first in basis.
