BWS Case Study

BWS are a fantastic supporter of South Australian winemakers, brewers and distillers, featuring them prominently in their stores all around Australia. As such, BWS jumped at the opportunity to highlight these SA brands in their local stores as part of I Choose SA Day 2017.

This was a passion project for Local Marketing Coordinator/State Support Specialist SA/NT, Michael Newbold.

“I love being able to showcase the incredible world-class brewers, wine makers and distillers that South Australia produces.”

“As a state, we activated over thirty in-store tasting sessions from a range of great South Australian brands.”

“All SA stores were provided with bespoke POS and were encouraged to activate with displays and tasting sessions. This activity was supported by three days of promotional offers on selected South Australian products.”

This activity resulted in great customer engagement across the state, and BWS also saw a 12% increase in sales compared to the same weekend in 2016, when they didn’t participate in I Choose SA Day.

The success of I Choose SA Day has prompted BWS to plan regular monthly promotions moving forward. They have shown particular interest in featuring SA product promotions instore on Choosedays and offering online competitions.
